Another great opportunity to visit Castle Howard this time with the very lovely Laura & Daniel for their engagement shoot. We first met over Skype since they live some distance away. Laura is originally from Harrogate and unsurprisingly booked Castle Howard for her wedding in June this year (who wouldn’t). Once again Jane Nordli made us feel so welcome and gave us the run of the house and grounds. I like to save the house for the wedding so access to the most beautiful house in Yorkshire was merely a contingency. February weather is unpredictable so an escape plan is always necessary.
It was pretty blowy out there but being triathletes Laura & Dan were game, no amount of mud, wind, rain or I imagine snow would keep these two inside. They were as keen as I was to explore. Down to the boat house, around the woods to the Temple of the Four Winds (there’s a reason for it’s name) and back to the house, I think Dan was testing my stamina (he trains elite athletes), I sincerely hope I passed but I could be forgiven for not measuring up to his normal clients!
Laura and Daniel needed hardly any direction. They were wonderfully natural with each other which makes the very best photographs. I could feel the love.
I really can’t wait for their wedding in June.
