For many reasons this was a pretty sensational wedding.Cerisse and Chris were married at St James Concert Hall and held their reception in one of my favourite places, Herm Island. There are no cars allowed on Herm and the only form of transport you will find are the quad bikes supplied by The White House hotel to transport luggage from the Herm Island ferry. This is great fun when the hotel use the bikes to transport brides, grooms and photographers to and from Shell or Belvoir beaches for some stunning photography. On a sunny day on Shell beach you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the Aegean, the water is turquoise blue and crystal clear – but very cold!
There was something of a stripey sock theme running through this wedding which complemented the chosen red theme and added a sense of fun. Even more fun was the drink prepared by Chris’s groomsmen which I am happy to report he did not drink. And yes, it is a real fish in the fish bowl!
All in all a gorgeous wedding with two very lovely people.
Since my East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire weddings don’t start until September (which gives me a lovely summer off) I will be posting the images from a selection of weddings I have photographed over the last few years on a tiny island off the Northern coast of France. I am looking forward to some new and exciting venues here in the East Riding and across the Humber in Lincolnshire. If you want to book me to photograph your wedding hurry because I am being booked up fast, which is just lovely!
